I just got a letter asking for Jury duty which I wanted to do since I heard about it. I would like to have an experience and curious to know what it will be.
Below is the first time I got a letter but I could not do it in 2013.

Two weeks before Thailand trip , I got a letter for "Jury Duty" . I was really excited because I wanted to be there. I return accepted letter on the next day.
On Saturday afternoon on the week during our lunch, I talked with Mister and friends about it and then I remembered that only American could do but I am not. I need to call for confirm on the date before reporting date (mine was Dec 3 2013)
I called on Dec 2 2013 and mention about accepted letter have been return but I am not an American citizen. A person on the phone asked me to fax my Green card with a barcode on the letter.
I found a postcard on the computer desk that I need to fax my green card and letter with barcode after I called. Surprise! I just called yesterday but the post card already arrived just over night. In the evening of the day I fax my Green card and a letter with barcode I on the post card that said they accepted my excused. OH! so quick response.
PS: I really want to attend Jerry duty once for my experience but I am not sure if I have a chance as I do not plan to apply for an American citizenship. Well, my green card is still good for many years, so I have plenty of the time to think about it. I may change my mind.
The present day, I will call to confirm my attending on December 5, 2018 and also do a qualification questionnaire online. In the past two months, I read information from Thais who went there. One talked about language error and lack of knowledge in the case will allow to return home. Also, my husband told by his experience more than 10 years ago which he only sitting, reading books for 45 minutes before and instructor told him to go home. Thus, I just searched on Youtube and found a teenager sharing her experience which she got chosen to the tribe.
I am glad as I can do this time.

I called the number display on the Summon yesterday and listened to it carefully which the info addressed where to park, what to or not to bring, what to do when enter the building and direction to go to the report room.
In the morning, I left home at 7:30, the report time was 8:30. The traffic was not bad as I thought however, I did the wrong turn but I figured out and get the to parking garage where attached to the building. Yeah! I got there at the time the door opened. There were many people entered to the building and walked follow the sign to the register room. We must took a juror handbook and a guidance paper and read while waiting at the seats.
Well, nobody selected today and all could leave at noon after received certificates.
I talked with two men who came today the second time. Both of them was selected but one did not get through. They told me what was happening and what need to do. It was the thing I planned to ask for leaving if I had selected because I am sure that I will not understand the vocabulary about the cases and could not be able to give opinion.
